Our history
Once upon a time there was a Russian prince...
The story of the Villa begins at the very start of the 20th century when Prince Nicolas de Vlassov decided to build it as a tribute to Hortense de Beauharnais, stepdaughter of Napoleon I.
A fervent admirer, the mysterious Russian prince recovered the furniture that had belonged to the woman who became the wife of Louis Bonaparte, younger brother of the Emperor and King of Holland, to decorate his new residence: silver-plated copper bathtub with balusters (still usable in a room on the 1st floor), lock bronzes, Versailles-style parquet flooring...
The ghost of Queen Hortense, mother of Emperor Napoleon III, floats joyfully in this seaside house where time has stood still. The listed Villa, transformed into a charming hotel with modern comfort, has kept intact the memories that make this unique place so magical.
